E2873-22 Intermittent ERROR thats not in service manual, during play machine will flicker and when it does I get a 6 with a decimal in the last place in led display, so my ? is what is does the 6 represent

any help with this I would appreciate thank you

6 indicates a voltage issue - check your power supply connection - reseat the connector - check for burnt contacts.

Just wondering, Mine is the service manual and lists the error codes among other possible codes.

Yes my manual does have error codes just doesnâ€™t have the error code Iâ€™m receiving Iâ€™ve cleaned all the pins Only thing I found was the heat sink on the power supply was a little burnt

the 2 blue/yellow wires that are soldered directly to the power supply - I ASSUME those wires connect to the harness?

You really should purchase another power supply, I'm pretty sure GOS sells them or I sell one on my website.
A power supply "rescue" plug may also be needed, I sell a plug with wires attached that you can wire nut the original harness wires to.

You should reflow the solder on the back side of those header pins. I can see cracks around the end few solder joints.. That's one of the first thing I do when I get a model E1000/E2000 in for servicing..

Also solder a piece of thick, bare, wire from the header to the other side of the nut.
When the heat sink gets hot it destroys the trace under the nut and causes a intermediate open / close connection.

Straighten the wire out so it is over the nut and solder that end to the leg of the bridge rectifier also connected to the nut then cut off the excess.

Do you mean just a short jumper from the center head of the bolt to the leg Iâ€™m just getting confused on when you refer to nut nuts on the other side of the board on top of the bridge rectifier

Yes the bolt, don't solder to the bolt.
Follow the green, wide, trace underneath the bolt and jumper that trace path with the wire.
The header pins that connect to that trace on one end and the leg of the bridge rectifier that connects to that trace on the other end.
Why, because the bolt gets hot and eats the trace path underneath it.
After 6 years of working in a casino where all we had E-Series slots the bolt was heating up and causing the trace under it to open up after the bridge got hot.
We had to jumper out the bolt on all of the machines because they would randomly throw a 6 code.

So far so good that was the fix you guys are great, Iâ€™ve been chasing that short for a long time and look how happy she is now! Iâ€™ve have never hit 777â€™s Since I owned it now it hit twice, We both thank you.

Can you show the repair that you did to your PS? You had a pic of the first repair attempt, but not of the actual repair you did. Other people login in down the road would like the see the actual repair.
