Quarter dispenser madness

Newbie....on payout I get correct coins....was testing the quarter hopper from another game. No matter what you win it pays forever, get 3300 message, reload and still payout and new 3300 message.
Im a newbie but obviously there must be something on the dispenser that is not working as it keeps giving out quarters. That would be real popular at a casino  :)
any ideas?

How many does it need to pay out on the display?

If the display is NOT counting down, then the hopper optics isn't counting the coins passing thru.

Check your hopper optics.

ok so played a game with the questionable quarter hopper...
1) Got 3 bars and payout said 5...I pushed cash and it kicked out about 20 coins.Then the 3300 error message. Opened and closed door and it kicked out 20 more coins, 3300 message. This will go on and on.
2) Turned game off. Put in good dispenser and it displayed 5, kicked out 5 coins and then let me play again.

My hunch is that the optics (and maybe the hopper) are set up for dollar coins.  The quarters are being dispensed, but are too short for the hopper optics to see them going by.  Eventually the machine errors out with a 3300 (empty hopper) since the machine doesn't know any coins have been dispensed.  Alternately, the hopper optics are bad, but you'd likely get an error code like 34_0 related to that.

Can you post a few good pictures of the problem hopper, please?
