I purchased a broken 742A off CL a few months back and had a local slot tech get it working for me and it has been great for the last few months. Last night, the coin hopper was full and diverting coins (I don't have an overflow) so I pulled the hopper to reduce the number of coins in it. When I got back to playing, the coins were dropping straight into the coin tray. I checked the trouble shooting guide and figured out that there was a potential electric issue. Sure enough, the 50 volt fuse had been blown.
When I inspected the fuse, I noticed that it was labeled 3A, 250V. I was expecting it to be labeled 3A, 50V so it looks like the fuse is rated too high. I haven't noticed any problems and have been operating it pretty regularly. When I searched for 3A fuses on Amazon, they all came back 250V even when I added 50V to the description. Do 50V fuses even exist? Is there a reason to use them over the 250V that was already installed and working fine? What's the correct length/width? Do I want a fast blow or slow blow? Thanks!
