Picked up a model 701 IGT Draw Poker recently that I'm trying to get back on it's feet. I've worked with video games and pinball extensively, but first time I've tackled anything like this.
I've found a relatively poor scan of the schematics that were posted in a much older thread, but they're not an exact match. They show an 8039 processor (vs. the 8049 on the board I have) for example, and also show a few 2114's used for the RAM instead of the 21L02 RAM used on this board (which also matches the images I'm finding online). Since the board seems to be booting blind (I can coin it up and get coin-up sounds, and tilt it by taking the processor reset line to ground), I think my issues are in the video circuit. I had no sync with garbage on the screen initially, and after a bit of work, have it up to a solid blue screen, but nothing else. I need to track through the video circuit (as I'm seeing no activity on the address/data lines of the TMS2716's), but the video circuit appears quite different.
Anybody have a version of this manual that reflects the hardware noted above (8049 processor, 21L02 RAM) they can point me towards?
Thanks!
