Disconnecting door alarm, BB1

I was just curious if anyone knows if it is possible to disconnect the open door alarm on the machine? Everyone in the house practically jumps out of their skin every time that thing goes off :Tongue_Out:

Other than disconnecting the speakers, no.  Since you can't control the volume for that through software, what I did on my older WMS machine was to wire a volume control knob (plain old potentiometer type) between the board's output and the amp circuit to totally control all volume to it.  Since the bluebird just uses a plain old 3.5mm phone jack, you could just hook up some sort of a switch to temporarely disconnect that plug whenever you want to open the door.

That's what I figured. I was hoping maybe there was a separate beeper for the alarm.

I just bought an external volume control for this exact same reason. It should be here tomorrow. On my BB2 its SPDIF but if I disconnect the cable from the CPU it falls back to analog, which I can easily manipulate the level.
