Bally Alpha game load error

Hey slot fans!

I'm trying to load a new game on my Bally Alpha and keep getting this error message. Can anyone help?

Can someone tell me if its a BIOS or MEMORY issues. If so, what do I need to get to get this game to run?


The game tries to boot up and then says


MACHINE FAULT


MEMORY INTEGRITY CHECK FAILURE FOR USER PROCESS AT ADDR: -1049350144, FLAGS: 80010068, digest: 0


Other games load just fine.

yes you do have the wrong bios chip let me know what your game title is and  your bios chip number

Are you sure its a BIOS chip? I am hearing so many different answers on this. I am leaning towards I need a 1GB board.

BIOS chip has nothing to do with it.  You don't have enough memory to run it.

No. I have the Cinevision version.

Unless they expect you to upgrade Cinevisions to Alpha 2??? They I misunderstood. I wish there was a doc that listed what platform some of these games work on. Bally's site is not helpful on compatibility. I just search the games on their site and select CABINET>CINEVISION.


Is this not a good way of doing? If not there has to be a document explaining this.

Just seen this now.  Why is your picture side ways?.  It should have already auto-initialized the monitor by that point.  No the way you search should be ok but there are better methods.  You should by now have all the data and info,pms etc. to upgrade your mpu/cpu/brainbox.  I was afraid this would happen.  Folks get all these diff. alphas on diff. platforms and cabinets and want to start shoving game changes in them.  I had even made some post and others on the old board about this.   Bios does come into play depending on what you are trying to run/do at times.  OS is paramount to match proper game, Then of course proper hardware/equipment.  Depending on what box you have and it is prob. a 512 you can upgrade, add a dual video card and a external cable and monitor off that and work/run diff. games of that cinevison.  Have not tryied on that one but works on others.  I had a cinereel in the past.  Have a v-32 and s-9000 currently as far as alpha goes.   Alpha is NOT just one machine.  Alpha's have Many diff. variations and machine cabinet options and choices.  That was not for you coolwave -last statement but others that constantly get confused that alpha is just alpha.

My iPhone takes the picture correctly but when I upload the picture on here it flipped it. My screens are correct... No worries there.


I was able to load a 512 Game... just runs a tad slow.


So if I buy this $250 1GB MPU, will it guarentee that these 1GB games will run? Remember these are Cinevision titles according to the Bally website. I assume of you don't have a second monitor to display the "Glass" it will just ignore it.


Also, is it just better to find the newest bios available so it will run all games?

If you upgrade to a 1 GIG CPU you will need a different operating system and bios chip. You can't use these from the 512 CPU.

That's fine. I really want to run this game. I have a 2012 OS card. What BIOS would I need to get if I upgrade to the 1GB board. Maybe the 1GB MPU board has a BIOS already installed?

Some games including those on 512MB card (Alpha 2) will not run on a 1GB board and there is no way to upgrade the memory on your 512 board.  Also, some 1 GB boards can not be upgraded either,  If you upgrade get a 1 GB board that has a slot for another 1GB simm for a max of 2 GB.

I have got my 1GB games running!!! Thanks for all the feedback and advice! To the people who kept telling me I had Alpha 2 games, I don't! Here is my M9000 running Emerald Falls and Golden Reef!


Side note: My Hot Shot 15 Reel ones super smooth now!
