Hi Everyone!


     I just bought my first slot machine, the game game king 17" upright.. pretty sure its a 3902 board from kijiji (craigs list in Canada)but the monitor has stopped working.  I am willing to order a new monitor but have some questions I would like to have answered from some pro's in this forum. The monitor is a Kortek 1703, and I googled some "black out" issues and swapped out some of the known issues that I thought might be my problem.ex changed out Q402 and BU2520DX, (I'm a total newbie but like a challenge) As I was playing the machine, everything working..... the screen would make a loud "tick noise" go black then come back on,  make that noise again then quit. The monitor is now dead....  I can still play the games with the buttons and the touch screen still works but the screen is blacked out.  I have an extra power supply but when I swap them out, one power supply is normal (besides the monitor) and the other works but the lights that light up the "game king" at the bottom glass and lights at the top don't light up.I'm looking to buy a new monitor, (LED)  my machine  is a 19 pin..... but it looks like only 17 are active.  Does this make a difference? And where is the best place to buy a monitor and power supply?

The ticking noise may be that the anode lead from the flyback isn't secure on the crt.

Get a hold of Ceronix.  They make a really nice LCD upgrade for that machine.  It comes with the whole front bezel too.  You'll be amazed how much better it looks with LCD instead of CRT.

I appreciate the info and the welcome.  I've been looking at ordering from  suzohapp.  I am unsure of the model to purchase.  My machine slides into a 19 pin but it looks like only 17 are active.  Does this matter?

The 17" Gamekings do use two different monitor plugs, so yes it does matter.  Some are compatible with Ceronix, others use Kortek.  Be sure to mention that with Happ and they can make sure you get one that'll work with your machine.

No.  It's considered a 19 pin monitor even though only 17 connector pins are populated.
