On to the next issue..... I've got two machines that I'm trying to set up to print tickets, accept tickets and have the option to cash out in a ticket, coins or split between the two. I have the one good machine to where it will print when you cash out only. It did exactly what I wanted until I start messing with settings but I'll come back to that later. I'm sure that's just one of my settings.

Now the other machine has been my problem child and is the one that I've been messing with over a power issue when I installed TITO and the new printer that I bought because I though my printer was bad. I've set everything up IAW the TITO system settings in the FAQ's post. I had everything correct from the previous attempts except for:

7.1.5 Cashless controller: Disabled (was Enabled)
7.2.1.1 Validation Type
SAS Validation Type: Standard Mode (was system mode)

3.4.1.1.4 SAS Primary Hand Pay: Hand Pay Reporting Disabled (I'm unable to change to Disable) only has single or multiple pay options.

I changed the first two and my BV stopped taking bills and my printer is still not working. I'm not sure if these settings are affecting my printer or not and when I changed the first two my BV started working again.
My printer is Enabled and will advance the ticket in section 4.7.2 but will not do a print ticket test.

I'm not really sure were to go from here.....

Sas validation must be set to SYSTEM for it to accept tickets and issue free credits via the service button.

If you do NOT have a tito unit installed you must have sas validation set to standard for the printer to work.

I have a TITO @ home that I just installed. I tried Sas Validation both ways. Not being able to disable the SAS primary hand pay affect the printer and is there anything else that I’m missing that would enable the printer?

With the TITO board set Validation to System then go to 4 menu and do the auto config. Then try it

I made sure the validation was to system mode and did a auto config in section 4. It showed printer 2 installed. I then went to 4.7.2 and it wouldn’t do a printer test and only advanced the ticket once. So I’m back to the drawing board…..

Go over all the settings outlined by Foster and found in the S2000 FAQs/How to guides. They have always worked for me.

Ron, I just went through all the settings again and the only one that I can’t change is 3.4.1.1.4. It doesn’t allow me to change to Disable. It only gives me HAND PAY SINGLE REPORT & HAND PAY MULTIPLE REPORT. I tried an Auto Config and then another print test and it does nothing. Everything is exact except for that.

What SG chips are you using? I will look for that in the PSR.

The PSR I just looked at (SG000523) shows Single & Multiple. I am thinking you can press enter (spin) on each to choose enable or disable.
I am not looking at an actual machine though and do not know what SG chips you have.

The machine has two SG000312. I have tried hitting the spin which is my enter button and it will not Disable the hand pay.

If you cannot change a setting in the options, usually there's only 4 reasons.

1). You are not allowed to, because of your jurisdiction. (Wrong software?)
2). You have credits stuck on the machine. (Clear everything and start over)
3). You need to use a Keychip. (Depends on what chips you're using)
4). You don't know what you're doing. (

)

The spin button only lets you enter, then use service and cash out to make the changes if it lets you in. I don't have anything with SG312 chips. I throw them away. SG363 are much better on a 50x. Use SG523, 598 on a 1270 for most games.

To further clarify how the buttons work in the Options.

The Service button moves you backwards <--- thru the settings. The Credit button moves you forward ---> thru the settings.

My PLAY 2 CREDITS is my backward button, my Spin Reels is my forward/Enter button, my cash out is my up menu, my change is Down menu. When I get to section go to section 3.4.1.1.4 SAS Primary Hand Pay and hit Spin/Enter it brings up the HAND PAY MULTIPLE REPORT. SPIN at that point will not do anything nor will Bet One Credit. Cash out and Change will move it from Single to Multiple Hand Pay Report and never gives the option for Disable. Again I select Play 2 Credits and it backs out of all my options.

I just installed the TITO@Home in my other machine, verified all my setting IAW the FAQ’s and everything works fantastic. Still have to figure out how to set up where I have the choice of Coin, ticket or both. I enabled Split Pay in section 3 but I still don’t have that Option.

The machine that doesn’t Print must have something to do with not being able to Disable SAS Primary Hand Pay. All/Any help is appreciated!!

Download and read the PSR RB uploaded for your SG312s (and upgrade them to 363's like Mark and RB suggested too). It tells you what the options do and your available settings.

Split pay isn't going to give you that choice.

3.1.11

3.1.11.1 Enable/Disable: If the split pay option is enabled, a pay out equal to
or less than the coin pay limit is made from the hopper and the amount above
the coin pay limit, if any, is paid by voucher. If the split pay option is
disabled, the entire pay out amount is paid from the hopper if the amount is
equal to or less than the coin pay limit. If the pay out amount is above the
coin pay limit, the entire pay out amount is paid by voucher.

Your only option for Hand Pay is Multiple or Single report. There is no disabled option.

3.4.1.x.4 SAS (Primary/Secondary) Hand Pay: Determines if the game
repeatedly sends out a hand-pay notification. If Hand Pay Multiple
Report is enabled, the game sends out a notification every 15 seconds
until the host requests the hand-pay information. If Hand Pay Single
Report is enabled, the game sends the notification once.

RB sorry I was away from the computer and missed the comment about the SG’s. Absolutely I want to upgrade to the 363’s.
