IGT G23 Tito issue

Machine works fine with show boots and hand pay.

Installed Tito,  Com 1 all the usual set-up steps.

SAS validation error, no host available.

Tried different daughter boards for com 2 &3, no change. Tried different Tito units.

There is red lettering on top of set-up screen stating.

The protocol controlling VOUCHER IN/OUT will also control the clock.

I can’t remember if this is normal, or if there is a workaround?

Thats normal to see that for the clock.  Is it set to group 1? Or ID 1, I cant remember the exact verbiage.

Could this issue be a bad backplane?

Still can’t figure out why it won’t communicate with Tito.

Prints tickets and works fine otherwise.

You can move the RS232 card to a different port. Just change your configuration to that respective port.
Also use the Comm analyzer to see if you are getting the 80/81 heartbeat.

I tried moving it to com 2 and 3 with no success.

Looks like no communication.  Tito is slow flashing.

There is always the chance your backplane is at fault.  If the com analyzer does not receive data from the device and the TITO board is known to be working with another IGT machine, then the backplane is the next thing to try.  Also note that bally and IGT both use the same connector for the TITO boards that are sold, make sure the ones you are using a pinned to IGT.

I swapped the connection cable and it works.

Strange, looks the same as the other one.  Maybe a bad crimp inside the connector.
