Set and Clear Keys for Triple Red/White/Blue, three coin
« on: September 06, 2015, 03:52:58 PM »
Yep, Newbie.  New to having own slot.  Just got a IGT, S2000 Triple Red/White/Blue three coin.  Heard you should have a set and clear key.  These are the chips that are in it.

Stepper Base
SB001000

Stepper GME 1  1 of 2

Stepper GME 2  2of 2

DSP 0002

Can anyone tell me which set and clear keys I need and where to buy them.  Any help would be great. :duh:

You'll probably need the clear 97 and key 31 chips for your s2000. There's some good venders such as CV SLOTS listed on the NLG home page.

That machine has a 1270 enhanced MPU with legacy adapter, you might want to go with a 45 key and 224 clear chip instead. Just my opinion...

With the sb001000 won't he use a reel chip for percentage payouts? You might want to raise the payout %.  Welcome to NLG.

Thanks Shaggy for the information and glad to be aboard.

Is the reel chip to change the percentage payouts a separate chip?  Which one would it be for my machine?

His post sqid it has a dsp0002 chip, that makes the board a 1270 with legacy adapter. Didn't know S+ chips would work on those. I'd get the corrosponding S2000 SB if that's the case and still go with the 45/224 chip combo. The R board in my Red Hottie has an SB1000 on it, but doesn't use or have a socket for a dspl chip or DSV simm, so I'm guessing standard legacy adapter. I notice they do have a spot for an SS chip

I'm with cowboy on this. 224 clear & 45 key. Personally I would go a step further & get rid of the SB001000/SS chip combo & use a SB100166 for Triple RWB 3CM.

Well you guys know more than I do. I know with my S2000 and the sb001000 I use a sschip. But I can't be sure if this is the same as mine. Just adding in case this was the situation. I want him to get a good start here.

The SB001000 is required to use a SS chip for games were never offered in the S2000 format. However a SB chip for the particular game is a much better option if offered as in this case. You won't be locked into the fixed payout % of a SS chip for one. Some SS chips behave differently with backlit reels as well. For example hit a cherry on the payline & the whole line lights up instead of just the cherry.

I've never understood why anyone would use S+ chips on an S2000 if the S2000 specific SB chip is available.

Thanks,
Jason

Thank you guys for the information.  I think I will go with the 224 clear chip and the 45 key.  See if I can locate the SB100166.
