Confirmation of key chip number I need for my S2000 5-reel slot

Hi everyone!


I am the proud owner of a 5-reel S2000 Triple Double Red Hot 7s machine which is working great. I can recommend www.slotmachinesusa.com who I got the machine from - prompt service and they converted to Australian bills/coins before shipping the machine to me here in Oz :-)


I want to change the percentage payout as it is too high (it's currently set to game #4 which is 94.98%) and money seems to last forever (which would be great in a casino!). I want to set it down closer to 90%.


They sent me Key Chip #45 with the machine.


Can someone confirm this is the correct chip for this machine? (I'd hate for something to go wrong if I use the wrong one). Also, what would be the clear chip to use on my machine? (not that I'm going to do that right now). Also, confirmation of which chip I replace on the board during the key chip procedure would be great for someone to confirm.


I've attached photos of my board. If anyone can give any other information about the type of board it is, sound, version etc that may be useful for me to know for any changes I might make in the future that would be great.

The key 45 will work for your machine, it is the correct one.
The one you replace is the one marked stepper base.

One more note the percentage is based on many many plays and probably will not change much of the outcome. These machines tend to play loosely ( easier) when they are first set up. 5 reel machines tend to pay out constantly but usually under the total bet.
Unless you have a few thousand plays on the machine I would leave it alone for a while and let the odds catch up.
At 90% it would be set closer to a casino odds. ( well a good casino as most are now 89 or less)

If you really think you need to have a clear chip handy then get a 224

I noticed that the key chip I have has a pin missing, so I'm not going to risk using that one. I've ordered a new key chip and clear chip from jjslots and will change the machine when those arrive.


Looking at the counters on the machine, the game percentage is set to 94.98% but the actual percentage is 96.65% (this is after 17211 plays). So it looks like it's been a bit lose.

It's paid a little better than the setting but it happens. Payback is based on "life of the slot" which is millions of spins. They run hot and cold and it will balance out
