motherboard connectors
« on: February 13, 2016, 08:58:14 PM »
I was donated a mermaid's gold cabinet and the motherboard and cpu/mpu box are removed.  My question is about the motherboard.  When I receive motherboard: Is there a picture or diagram that will tell me where connectors plug into motherboard? Will connectors just plug in in one place or can one mistakenly put it in the wrong place on motherboard? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Arnold

Attached may help but as you can see some connections use the same number of pins.  If the zip ties on wiring harness that was left in the machine were not cut the connectors on the harness will be limited as to how far they can reach.  Most of the connector are different so you shouldn't have too much trouble figuring out which one plugs into where.

If it ain't broke don't mess with it.....

Thanks, idesign.  Having that image right in front of me when working on connecting wires really helped.
