bally 6000 40 error code

i have a bonus frenzy slot machine that has error code 40.  dont know what to do as i am new and dont know how to repair them.  please help!!!!

I found this, maybe it will help. Bally sometimes refers to their error codes as "tilts", I think it is a holdover from the pinball days.

It may just need a little cleaning around the reel optics sensors.

Is this the same machine and same/similar problem you've posted about before? Can you post a photo of your machine showing the error code?

Bally 6000 error code 40 is a "reel initialization error"  .  The reels were unable to complete initialization after a reset.  Power off ..Remove and reseat the reels (all 4 reels since this is a "Frenzy"   Make sure they are secure and then re-power on. Reels should initialize.

ok now how do you reset the reels?  I don't know too much about repairing slots.  THANK YOU for your help
