E2000 error code question and odd reel behavior
« on: March 28, 2016, 08:41:27 AM »
i have an e2000 that would coin up and do nothing when you pulled the handle. that was an easy fix, the little pawl on the mechanism was stuck and missing the cam that cocks the reels.

now when i spin the reels, it tilts , i get an flashing error code _1_000 , then _2-000  . if i clear the tilt by pressing reset , then test, and i sue 2 coins, i get a flashing _2_000 . if i clear again and use 3 coins i get flashing _2_000 , then _3_000

the odd part is when the reels stop, they all stop at the same time. its not 1, then 2, then 3.   i would think thats very wrong.  any ideas ? i havent a clue at this point.

thanks
mike

sort of solved.  the reels would all stop together.  there is a shaft that the reel solenoid trip levers pivot on.  the pivot bushings were all gummed up, and when the first solenoid tripped, the sticky bushing would twist the shaft a bit, causing the other two ( which were also sticking)  to also trip.  i know have another problem, and will open a new thread.

Many past repair threads recommend a thorough cleaning and lubing of the moving mechanical parts to fix a lot of problems. It takes some time to do right but is important for reliable working of the machine. That old grease gets dried and stiff or gummy, has to be removed and a little fresh stuff added.
