S2000 5 reel backlight problem

Got some S2000's that were converted from 3 to 5 reel with led backlights. Only a couple of the game work correctly. Checking the light controller board behind the reels, I can see a yellow blinking LED and a red LED in the upper right corner that is lit on the games which do not work, and just the Blinking yellow LED for the games that do work.

The question is: What problem does the Red LED represent and how do I fix it?

If they are factory back light LEDs then they require a different harness  for the reels. The LED harness will have two white molex connections and a black one that will plug into the light controller board. The incandescent harness just has only two white molex connections. This is most likely the problem you are having.

Did you try swapping the controller board.
If you have the correct harness than the controller may be bad. Also try swapping the cabinet I/O boards.
Post a few pics of the controller installed.

To my knowledge there's only one controller for LED reels & it is compatible with 3, 4 or 5 reel setups. It's also the only one with the black connectors for the LED harness. Additionally it's also backward compatible with incandescent reels.

Well, there ya go. You might have a bad controller, reel or cabinet IO card if everything is correct in the wiring.
