BALLY QUICK PICK PAYTIME 88FF

Hey everyone!

I'm a newbie here and wanted to see if I can get some help. I recently acquired two bally S6000 slot machines with the round bonus topper. Quick Pick Paytime and Musical Cherries. The Quick pick Paytime had error code 88FF. I read here on this forum about replacing the battery and doing a ram clear with new clear  chips. So last night I replaced the battery and did the ram clear and the 88FF is gone. The bottom slot portion of the machine works great where as before it wouldn't work at all. But now the top portion bonus game is no longer lit up or functioning. Could I have done something to cause this or is there something in the settings or dip switches that I need to change? Any info would be great.

88ff is cleared after battery replacement and ram clear. I found the problem with the top box not lighting. It was plugged into the power supply inside the unit in a bad slot. Switched to another plug in the power strip and it is now lit up. Now after preforming the ram clear, and bypassing date, error 5.0 pops up. I cannot get the door open code to go away. With the code there, the machine will not allow play. Not sure if the optical sensors are bad or if they can be bypassed. Any suggestions?

Sounds like optic issue. Try this, take a LED  flashlight and shine it onto the optic that is mounted onto the cabinet and see if  the 50 code goes away. .

Thanks sunrise side! That is exactly what it is. I used my cell phone flashlight and sure enough the 50 goes away. Any idea of where to find replacement door optics for a Bally 6000??  I’m also looking for the led winner paid screen in the upper bonus box. Not sure where to look for these replacements parts. Any help would be much appreciated!!
