S5500 (?) Bill Acceptor Credit Limit
« on: June 18, 2019, 06:27:52 AM »
.1993 Bally silver and gold. Single line, 3 coin, quarter machine. Think its s5500....I am using s6000 book that I have for settings. I have 51 and 56 limits set to 9990 but my dbv200 will only allow bill input up to 400 credits....how do I increase that ?

It could be the main chips that are not allowing the setting to go more than 400. What is the numbers on the mains? Can you post a pic of the MPU?

The SE and ME 92 series chips. I can't remember which series mains work best.  I will have to check.

Been doing some reading....my board has punch out blocks on jw3 and jw7.......I am going to replace those with dipswitch packs......if can't get info on how to increase dbv limit then I wana dipswitch it a 1 cent machine so it takes fewer bills to reach that dbv limit.......have not tried coin acceptor yet but its set for tokens so it won't change anything on that end if I try to get cc16 going

dipswitches arrived today, replaced jw3 and jw7 punch blocks with dips, changed to a penny game so feeding 4- $1 bills to reach bill acceptor max is lot simpler........BUT  I would still like some feedback on what needs to be done to increase dbv credit limit
