TITO not working after I replaced the bill acceptor

I bought a IGT Reel Touch machine with a working TITO installed & it has worked great until now. A few months ago I replaced the bill acceptor because it had become really noisy. I has some friends over & one of them hit the cash out button and now it won't take a ticket nor will it take any coins. Do I need to clear it with an IVC00224 & follow up with a Key00045 in order to get it working again?

Has it finished paying out ?
If the win was more than 1199 then the machine goes into hand pay and stays that way.


Perhaps you need to turn the external jackpot reset key.

Yes, it's down to zero & ready to accept coins, bills or tickets. I did turn the jackpot key to take care of the hand pay

Does it take bills?  Is the bill acceptor in ready mode? (bill bezel light on?).  Check for open door messages as well.

Will not take bills, tickets or tokens. The bill acceptor bezel light is on

Is the Insert Coin light on ?? This won't come on and allow coin/token acceptance until it is, and if it won't take coin then it won't take bills.


Are your reels stiff ?? (open the door - with the power on - can you freely spin the wheels or are they stiff) ?
   If so move the reel one or two knotches  - then close the door.
The reels should then spin a couple of times and line back up to where they were.


If the reels are not stiff then you have a power problem - check the 4 wire connection on the center of the Mother board (small board that the MPU board plugs into). This is a common problem on the S+


if the reels are stiff but don't re-spin / re-align after the door is closed the machine is not seeing that the door is closed and you likely have a door optic problem.

does the validator even try to read the bill, does it cycle during power up?  Any error messages on the VFD?  I believe the S2000 makes you clear some sort of error when you swap validators, something akin to the CRC changes on the firmware and you need to clear it.  It's been a while, so not 100% sure on that.
