does anybody know what these E series boards were used for?

See attached photo, they look like MPU boards but have not see that many connectors.
Let them that don't want any, have memories of not getting any.

Both boards are MPU boards for an E2000 machine.

Update....

I should clarify that a bit They are for an E2000 but a very late model, probably just before the Bally 5000 machines
came out. At first glance I did not notice the extra connectors on the side of the board.

There appears to be a CPU chip and then 4 masked ROMS (non eraseable) the empty slot would be
used if a P2 chip was needed

I have a machine that uses this board. It's not a working machine and has error #65 I believe. I sure would like to get this machine running but I have not found any info for this machine.

I had a lot of those boards and the machines they were in HAD some devise attached to the handle side - long gone by the time I got them - I would guess a side mounted BV?  or a player tracker.  Never found a working one - or any documentation either.   all they are good for is parts.
