Bally "In the money" pull handle locked

I have a 3 reel Bally In the money that the reel handle is now stuck where I can't pull it anymore. It has always worked up until I had to change the battery and had to do a ram clear and re set all the settings. Could I possibly have just a bad solenoid for the reel handle or could it be something in the actual settings?

check wires on handle coil  and look for bent pin on cpu

I've found on a lot of 6000's the solenoid plunger gets so much action that the coil housing becomes worn and the plunger gets hung up when it sucks the plunger in. A little oil is the fix.......but a bugger to get it in there. start by feeling to see if the plunger is loose and will travel.

As Lindam said they are kinda tuff to get to. You can manually release it on the soilnoid-paw/ratchet also.  If it was jammed down hard and the end tooth is jagged it can hang up (seen that before).  should be a easy fix though with all info already here.

Had the same problem, turned out to be the cotter pin on the solenoid to the release arm was broke. Replaced the pin and good as new. One way to check is to listen for the solenoid when you put in coins, if you hear a sound near the handle it could be the pin.
