I noticed payline when it stopped last 3 times. It wasn't winning combination, but on 3.rd. reel always was pear when stopped.
I'm sure it is certainly not a coincidence.
I think  it have dirty hole on reel or dirty photo-transistor on reel reader board,or need some  adjust reel reader board.
I think program doesn't handle correctly invalid reel reader combination, and doesn't go to Tilt mode  with error code.

I will tomorrow check it.

When it stopped. always is pear on 3.rd reel.
On 3.rd reel has only one pear, but not stopped always, when stopped it on  pear symbol.
When I unlock stopped reel manual and moved to the next symbol (lemon) or previous symbol (orange),  buttuns lited up, and  I can continue to play.

Take a look at the reel strips. Possibly one of them is hanging out and hitting the front glass or other part inside. This could explain the pear symbol.

If the machine doesn't stop on the symbol that's expected, it will set a tilt code. HOWEVER, it will only set the code if it doesn't stop on the expected symbol 2 out of 8 pulls. So, it could be something mechanical.

The code dictates where the symbols stop, and the reel symbols are strictly for amusement.

If there were a bad reader sensor, the tilt code would appear.

You can try swapping the reader cards, i.e. swap the card on the 3rd. reel with the card on the 1st. reel, etc. If the pear symbol moves, you might have an intermittent connection on the suspected card.

Maybe check the stop positin on wining combinaton.
I swap real reader board with another reel it stopped on cherry symbol on another reel, when stopped game,or give error 44 on another reel, and still it spin.
I re-soldered reel reader bad real reader board and sometimes give error 44 still spin.
I try it on another (4.)  reel.
Tomorrow I will solder out  and clean the 5 photo-transistor.

Photo transistor was bad.
I checked all photo transistor on bad reel reader, and one was bad.
Another board was also  one (half) bad photo transistor.
I replaced bad transitors, and  looks good the machine. :cool_thumb_up:
