Bally E-2000 Coin in only works/registers for initial spin
« on: August 18, 2015, 10:59:47 AM »
Howdy all,
I just picked up this E machine & have it almost fully working. It will take the 1st 5 coins & spin & stop. If there is no win the INSERT COIN light does not light up & the coins go into the hopper without registering without TILTING? The coil to divert the coins to the hopper stays active. I then have to press the TEST button/not the reset for it to reset where you hear the reels set & the diverter reactivates? If I have a win it will light the INSERT COIN & take another 5 coins etc. I've changed the main, I/O, reel board,  hopper and the power suppy & it still does the same thing.  Otherwise everything else is working correct? Any help or suggestins would be appreciated

sounds like reel readers but the payout working?  run the 5 test and see if you are getting.  something is causing game not to finish a cycle which usually is reels.

I have read that the reel reader plugs can have bad crip connections. The same goes for the plugs on the reel reader control board. The other thing to check is the wiring connections at the two plug connecting the reels to the machine.
Please remember to make a donation to NLG for mine/our help in repairing your machines problem.. Your donations help keep this site on line.
And remember...
If it's jammed, force it.. If it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyways...

***THANKS GOS & AMECHANIC*** :applause:
I tested the reel readers & the 3rd one was not reading. Changed the reel reader with one I know works & nothing. Found an inner shorted wire at the front double coming from the readers. It would then read them in test, but would not work when playing/the same. Then I was looking at the lock arms & noticed the spring was disconnected on the third arm - SHAZAM It's fully working now. A tiny  inner short & a disconnected spring , pictured. I just zip tied the harness at the plug to fix the short
Thanks Again Guys Appreciate It  :hail:
