E2000 strange issue

the 5 test will not give you an error code - the 5 test reads each reel position. you have to manually cycle each reel thru the 22 to 25 stops.  You don't necessarily get an error code if a reader is malfuctioning.

Barry,  if I am reading this right he has run test 5 and checked each reel to see that they are all reading the symbols and open spaces correctly on all 4 reels. What's happening is there is no error code showing in the win meter like the arm switch was bad or off the cam. I would have to guess the problem lies between the arm switch to the IO board. Badbaud I believe is on the right track.

rebuilding all the readers and cleaning the bulbs did get it going with one last prob ..... 3 brake sometimes dont trip..... solenoid is firing and mechs clean .... cant see why.... when this happened he took the reels out and dropped them bending the shaft.....i got it pretty close to perfect ... its prob close enough to work ok but would like to swap it if i can
