Those machines are leased to the casinos and are supposed to be destroyed when decommissioned.  That being said, there are some floating around that have been put together by various means.  It is "illegal" to sell one of these machines working as there is a licensing issue with the WOF trademark owner. However, if you look and ask around, you may find one, but it will cost you several thousand dollars (at least 3K last time I checked).  Parts for these are very difficult to find, other than the standard S2000 parts that it shares with the rest of the platform.  The newer cabinets I've never seen available for sale, only the S2000 based machines.  It is one of the Holly grails of our hobby, having a functional WOF machine.

I would love one, and considered the hunt, but the parts issue is what concerned me most.  That would suck to have a part fail that can't be replaced.

I had the opportunity to obtain one at one point a while back, but the parts issue had me rethink it, plus the cost was not to my wife's liking, which pushed the decision to the "no" side.

I have recently found and acquired a Bally Alpha Reel Winners machine which has a WOF type topbox, although it does not have the "Wheel of Fortune!" chant, it satisfies my need for a spinning wheel top.

The only oddball parts on these are the stepper motor for the wheel and the control board for same. What are the odds the board will go? Pretty slim I would think and the stepper motor isn't that tuff to find. Just saying it's a better bet than you might think

The control board was the issue for me.  Like all electronic components, they can just  :burningresistor: , user stupidity, component failure, any number of things that affect solid state components.  I just didn't want to take a chance on buying a $3K+ S2000 whose special feature may not be replaceable.
