WMS Williams Video / Re: Wns BB2 top box main door
« Last post by Stayouttadabunker on Today at 06:40:43 AM »
On top of the bill validator under the deck is a sliding plate that activates the main door microswitch.
When you close the door, the door pushed against that sliding metal plate.
While the door is open, pull on the sliding plate all the out and it will simulate that the door is in a closed state.
If not, follow the two wires from that switch back to the backplane and check the door switch harness for continuity with a multimeter.

All this stuff is in the WMS BB2 Manual in the NLG File System.
If you become a Contributing full-fledged member of NLG, you will have access to it and much other stuff.

IGT AVP (Including G20,G23) / Re: IGT G23 - Red Screen Error
« Last post by Stayouttadabunker on Today at 06:19:08 AM »
Lua is a form of programming language developed around 1993.
It ran a function of trying to "initialize" a programmed index that isn't working.
In other words, something got corrupted.
There a could be a bad battery that couldn't hold the index list in the programming, possibly something failing on the MPU.
Could be a million things that caused this corruption, a bad chip, a bad IC component, a bad memory stick, etc etc.

On the bottom of that screen, you are instructed to turn the attendant key... try it.
When you do that, does it revert back to this red screen?
If so, then you have a fatal fault, which requires the need to clear the machine and re-install the game.
Chances are though, it may at some point, come back.

I wish I had a board for you but I only play with S+'s.
Hey...could you check something for me?
Is there a date of manufacture metal tag stamped to the side of the cabinet?
Could you take a picture of it and show us?
I'd love to see the exact date of your straight "S" model.  :cool_thumb_up:

Universal Reel/Video Games / Re: universal slot machine jam

All the bulbs are ok. The Insert Coin is not lit. Putting on and out the power.  Once I heard a "clac on the right side and the coin comparator green light (picture) lit but not the insert coin one. this occured only one time and never again. I chekked the  "cherry" switch. Its a double switch when it is pushed the contact on the right side (on the picture) is on and the one on the left side may be off. it's not the case for the left side one. I reversed the "cherry" to solve this question but nothing occured.

IGT S3000 Reel Games / IGT S3000 pinball touchscreen calibration
« Last post by Gasman on Yesterday at 10:41:01 PM »
Hi,
I'm new to slot machines.  I'm having problems with the touchscreen in the area where the denomination is changed.  I push on $5 and it takes it like the $10 was pushed.  I am finding that its acting as if its 1 space off to the right.
If I hit the area to the right of the $10, I'll get the $10 selection.  Acting as if the touchscreen needs to be calibrated. Do I need the software for that?  And where might I find a service manual for this unit? Its  a IGT S3000 pinball slot.

Thanks,

Bob
