Mustang 903-D BM-100 hold problem
« on: December 30, 2021, 04:50:12 PM »
I'm working on an mustang 903 that I just cant figure out the hold function?

Since I have several Bally mustang 903 machines I can try different reel and hopper units on each other machines to figure out where the problem is and I found out that I have a challenge with the reel mechanism with this project and I I have tried to adjust the b2 switch without any luck and I wonder where to look if the b2 isn’t the problem.. and I’m getting blind how to see where the problem, even that I have done this several times before, so what do I miss this time? 🙈

Can it be the draw relay coil, it doesn’t look very good but since it works for a short period it seems to work right ?

After I insert a coin and pull the handle the hold light turns on but it turn of again before the reels stops every time..

Thanks :)

assuming the circuits are similar to the 903-A ...

if the hold light comes on, then the draw relay is powering.

it's supposed to keep itself powered unless the payout counter steps up and opens a "close-at-zero" switch.  While the open-at-zero switch is the most common problem, if your issue is on the reel mech then the draw relay switch is a better bet.

sounds like your draw relay hold circuit isn't working.  Below is the 903-A circuit.  Draw relay switch of interest is the middle one.

doesn't look like you have a reel mech A-1 SPDT switch, so you'll need to work out the differences on your game.

if you have a schem, look at how the draw relay is held powered.

I found out that the a1 or a2 switch never release when I pull the handle (See picture)

I also checked all the wires and cleaned all the blade switches so now it works perfect!

Thanks and happy new year 🥳
