IGT Fortune II Dip Switch Settings
« on: December 06, 2023, 04:59:33 PM »
Have an FII, nostalgic after growing up in Las Vegas and graduating High School just before these came out and with Golden Gate casino cards.  All three boards looked at by KLAR (Alan is fantastic) and are good to go.  It’s working great.

I downloaded the IGT manual and also another 1 page document, both have the dip switch settings for the backplane switch.   The 1 pager also shows settings for color selection on the upper board in the card cage using the switch (1-8) located there.  Both the manual and the 1 pager are somewhat vague to me description wise specific to the switch settings.
Just for curiosity asking why, when the lower board in the card cage seems to not be fully seated, the screen is inverted, with a pay table showing above the cards and below the cards it shows what looks like a play credits option.

Reseating the lower board has the screen come up with 5 cards showing and again the machine plays great.  No option for credit play and no pay table above the 5 cards showing.

Do I have a setting that isn’t correct on one/both of the switches?  No biggie either way, just kind of puzzling to me.

Appreciate any thoughts!

 :NLG_WELCOME:

Congrats on getting your Fortune II up and running!  Yes, Alan and KLAR do good work and they're about the only ones around that can fix the older boards.

Glad you found the answer to your question on the DIP switches.  There's a lot of good information on the old board too that can still be searched and read.  You can find it here:
