Whats the machine?
« on: September 21, 2019, 07:31:03 PM »

Got a great deal today on my buying my first machine. Bought working IGT Wild Cherry machine pretty cheap and the guy gave me a Bally machine that did work. It did work at one time, but just stopped. It lights up and that's it. There are no error codes showing. He doesn't have time to trouble shoot it because they are in the process of moving and it was crunch time to get rid of it and had no time to deal with it.
So is it a S6000 series? What can anyone tell me about it so I can start trouble shooting it. Anywhere I can find a manual?

Most common problems for S6000 is battery on the MPU is dead and power supply in the lower cabinet go bad. Check the voltage of the  battery.  It should be 3.6 volts.  Usually a failed power supply,  there will be no red LED number display in the coin win, credits display.

Battery's were bad, changed those out and had to do a chip reset. It came alive but now it will not accept coins, and when it goes though the start up procedure the second wheel doesn't turn, it just jiggles while the others turn.

When I got the machine, it has some parts that he must have bought but never installed. I installed a new wheel motor assembly. I'm guessing its new, The other assemblies have writing on the stickers, this one does not. hooked it up, it still jiggles or shutters in a upward rotation and the third wheel keeps turning (downward) the first and bonus wheel stop after rotating downward.
Thanks for the help so far.

After reading other threads and knowing its a s6000, I ran a ram clear a second time and when I slid the board back in, I pushed it in with a little force to make sure it was seated real good. Turned it on and it went thought it start up and everything worked except for now a coin comparator issue.
I will start another thread
