Removing the green battery from an IGT s2000?

Removed the MPU to get a photo, Double checking, is this a 500? And now I'm not sure what to do because I re-seated the MPU and started up the machine and now I have a reel 3 tilt

And I think that I accidentally touched the back plane board with the tip my finger nail while holding my phone when I was trying to get a photo, Will this do any damage?


Edit: Both my feet were touching the ground and my phone was unplugged. Before I moved the MPU I touched the metal cabinet door for 20 second and my floor is a wooden floor

With the amount of humidity we have in the air during the summer time it is not all that likely you can cause static damage to electronics with what you are doing. Unless you really try, like shuffling your feet on carpet,  petting your cat several times or rubbing your hand vigorously on the dry hair on somebody's head, you will have a hard time building up very much static elec on your body. In the winter time when the air is drier, especially indoors with heating furnaces running making the indoor air extra dry then you can make static elec on your body much easier.  The large repair shop I worked in had big humidifiers that ran all the time during winter, they kept the indoor humidity at 50%. The quality dept checked and kept a log of the daily humidity readings where we handled electronics.

With the machine plugged in to the wall outlet the metal chassis is grounded to your home's elec grounding wires, if you have a 3 prong outlet. That's what that 3rd prong, the longer one, is for on a power cord. So touching the machine metal surface should remove any static charge you have on your body. This doesn't mean you shouldn't be cautious when handling circuit boards, but don't overly worry about it.

Just thought of this, What could be potential errors from removing there green battery and how would you resolve these errors?

There shouldn't be any. Changing the cmos battery trips some ram errors
