Adding Progressive to S2000 Top Dollar
« on: December 15, 2020, 02:58:59 PM »
Possible? If so, what parts would I need?

I take it I need some kind of display to mount at the top (I have short slant top version) and then a progressive controller?

Thanks all!
Marc

Before you start buying controllers and the rest of the stuff you need to be sure your chips will support a progressive format. Being a Barcrest game it may not.
Member RB should be able to tell you if you give him the SB/SG (R board?) combination you are using.

I know Top Dollar does support progressive for sure. Pretty sure I have the right chips, but will check with RB.

Thanks bud!

Check your machine to see if menu "7.3 Progressive" and its submenus are displayed. If the menu is there then your pay table program supports progressive awards.

Next, if the progressive menu is there, refer to the 'Program Summary Report' for your SG chip to determine the part numbers of the Spectrum display and controller board you will need.

Where do you plan to mount the display ?

Mounted just like yours LOL - That's the one I remember seeing. :)

I don't have 7.3, but I do have Progressive stuff in 7.1.4
7.1.4.1. Controller Select
7.1.4.2. Progressive Display Setup
7.1.4.3. Stand Alone Setup
7.1.4.5. SAS Progressive Group

Your game is compatible. I think all you need is a Spectrum display. I believe these are stand alone needing no additional board. Configure it as stand alone.

Cool! I'll give it a shot next time I clear it and pick up a display.

Do you still have yours from your profile pic?
