S2000 504 Boards issues

Hi. A couple of years ago I stored a bunch of S2000 504 boards in a very cold place. Now, only two out of 25 work.  They all have the same issue: nothing on the display, all amber lights are lit and the red light keeps flashing. Any idea what part of the board needs fixing or am I supposed to send them to a repair service? Thank you for any suggestion.

Red light flashing is a software issue.  Make sure all the software is on board and in sockets properly.  No bent pins. You could use software from one of the good boards to test the rest.  I doubt that many are bad.  If they have varta batteries you should remove them

Thank for chiming in. All these boards were working boards. I tested on one non working board the programs that are on a working board and that’s the same result.  😱

Were the Varta batteries still on the boards when you stored them?

Only a few got it.  Any idea what goes wrong?🔥

Are they all rotten and corroded?

Lets see what they look like - if you can post a photo of these MPU no larger than 1,000kb in size.

Keep it around that size so we can zoom in and examine the circuits on the boards.
