IGT S2000 Reel One Tilt

I have an IGT S 2000 in for repair and I keep getting a "Reel One Tilt" error. I have changed the position of the reels but always get a "reel one tilt". I re plugged all of the connections on the back plane with no luck. Where do I look next? Thanks.  :Scratch-Head:

I've fixed four of them with reel 1 tilts by replacing U708 on the MPU board.

It's not bad if you have a SMD rework station.  I wouldn't attempt it with a pencil type soldering iron.

I bought a chinese cheapy off of ebay.  Saike 852.  It was around $100 at the time.  It wouldn't be the choice of a professional bench tech, but for a hobbiest it works fine.

Good advice thanks! I been wanting to buy a desoldering iron as well for through hole components.
