I did this procedure and it doesn't even attempt pull in any bills. "Remove the cash can. All dip switches should be in the up position before you start.
Now, flip 1-2-3 and 8 down, install the bill unit in the machine, turn power on to the machine.
Now, flip #8 up, (while the unit is in place) the unit should briefly cycle.
Now you can insert bills into the unit.
IF THE UNIT IS WORKING, IT WILL PULL THE BILL INTO THE UNIT AND DEPOSIT IT WHERE THE CASH CAN SHOULD BE.
You should be able to test any bill in the unit, this can also be used to determine what bills the unit will accept." I also put the old firmware eprom in (only takes $1), same error BV Jam and on machine menu BV test= (Failure: Transport motor).
A little background, I bought 2 CDS US0320 machines, one had a BV and one did not, That BV worked and I upgraded the eprom so it take newer bills. That BV worked in both machines. So I bought a 2nd BV and stacker, this one had errors and would not work, so the person sent me another BV/stacker, it sounded like it was laboring and was sporadic when it worked. I was waiting for other parts so the machine sat for about 6 weeks.
Fast forward to this week....The BV when warmed up worked and read most bills for about 24hrs, then it threw the errors..IMO the 2 units are bad I base it on the machine telling me it has a Transport motor failure. The person I bought it from doesn't want to acknowledge he sold me a 2nd wonky POS that has now become totally unusable.
Anyone have an idea on how to repair this before I spend yet another $130 on a 3rd replacement?
