BB2 with 32inch screen?
« on: June 06, 2016, 05:34:53 PM »
I am a newbie to the BB2 world. Just starting out. I have been trying to research about a BB2 with the 32 inch screen, vs the "standard" 22 inch screen.  Can someone explain what is needed to convert the top screen to a 32inch screen, or is it a totally separate machine? I saw a post that said that someone wanted a machine WITH a 32 inch screen, so I am assuming that its a different machine? Am I right?
Thanks in advance.....

Hi Eric,

Its a process.  Its a process I will soon be going through and maybe you also.  From what I can gather the biggest deal is mounting it.  Most of those games (someone can chime in if its different) were themed games.  Like the ones I discussed that I am doing.  As such they had the licensed surround to them.  The surround on certain games is part of the game itself.  At least from a display standpoint.  Its part of the bonus and it will randomly select a lit up circle or such.  It also holds the monitor vertically.  Without that surround you would have to come up with a way to mount it.  I have seen a couple versions of home made mounts and haven't been overwhelmed.  I am trying to source a couple for my machines but they are tough.  There is a epic Monopoly on ebay that has the entire kit.  Software and surround and if it stays up on ebay long enough I will but that because that's a nice game.  The casinos and or WMS is supposed to destroy (gulp) the surrounds once the lease is up.  Some pop up here and there.  What I can tell you....is that they are awesome to play.  I just got back from Vegas a few weeks ago and hit for $7800.00 on a penny Lord of the Rings land of moridor.

Good Luck

Youre way ahead of the game, and I am way behind the curve. I love those bonus games with the tall screen, but I love any bonus that will pay me! LOL! My biggest bonus is $4600 on a WOZ Ruby Slippers in Vegas. All the rest were in the hundreds or just over 1k. 7800 is TERRIFIC! Would be nice to have a unit like that. Did you learn what you learned from NLG? I better get reading...
Thanks bro!

Yes learned it on NLG and from discussing with others offline.  As soon as I bought my first S2000's I started inquiring about the games I really wanted.  Just a year ago these games where really high figures.  They have come down to half what I was quoted a year ago.  In the process of figuring out what I wanted I asked and was asked a lot of questions.  Such as BB1 vs BB1.5 vs BB2 vs BB2.5 and finally BB3.  I ultimately decided on a BB2.   That gives me the ability to play most of the games I want.  To go from BB2 to BB3 is about 2K at the moment.  That will come down in time.  The biggest cost is the CPU which is about $1500.  There are other items that require changing also such as power supply etc.  The cabinets are basically the same.  Only differences that I have gathered is that a BB3 has the bigger power supply and a NTX3 CPU and emotive lighting Kit.  Which I guess certain BB3 titles require.  I have a lot to learn but, once I get one in my hands I will figure it out pretty quickly.  As I am sure you will also.  I have been reading anything I can get my hands on regarding this.  I really don't think either of us can go wrong with this unit.  It will keep us busy for awhile. It will be different.  Less swapping of hardware and more swapping of software and monitors.  I suspect the majority of upgrades will be in titles.  I will probably end up with 4 or so BB's when it's all said and done.
