I bought an IGT Sizzling 7 Times Pay machine on e-bay for my mom for Christmas.  She is CRAZY about slots but is getting too old to go to casinos (85 years old).  The machine lights up when I turn it on, the reels spin, the bill acceptor cycles, etc.  But then it reads errors - MB and Bill Validator Stacker Door Open.  I researched a little online and it looks like the door sensors have been cut (wires cut off) and the bill stacker sensor has been disconnected with the wires twisted together.  I would really like to get this running for my mom for Christmas (even if it means that she can't input coins, tokens, or bills -- so long as she can spin the reels, etc.).  I am clueless on what to do next, so if anyone can please point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.  I made a video of it which can be viewed at:

Thanks for any help you can provide on this.

In general, you can usually disconnect the 2 wires going to a security switch and twist them together. This helps to eliminate nuisance errors. Before you go too far did the seller of the machine say it was working completely, or was it sold as-is, meaning it might have some kind of defect? If he says it was working properly have you tried contacting him?

From what I am seeing it is the door problem. You need to trace those wires you showed from the door optics. They along with the wires from the cabinet optics should be attached to the cherry switch. Trace those wires, they are going to be the problem. The codes won't clear until the game thinks the door is closed.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate your help on this.  With regard to rokgpsman's questions, The ebay guy who sold it to me does those "casino nights" events for churches, nonprofits, etc.  He said it was working but that he thought that the error started popping up as a result of the constant transporting of the machines.  He said he thought it would be something that could be fixed if I were able to dig in to it but that he had dabbled with it and didn't have the time.  Unfortunately when I opened it up and started trying to work on it, I quickly learned that I was in way over my head.

I do think that therockinelvis may be on to something.  There are two loose connectors behind the cherry switch which appear to lead from the thing that I pointed out as a possible door sensor.  Like I said, there are two wires already connected in the last two spots (5) and (6) that appear to operate the interior light.  The remaining four are open, and I have tried every combination in connecting the two loose wires that I can think of and it doesn't seem to change anything.  I even disconnected the two that were previously connected and used their spots to no avail.  Also, it does not seem to make a difference even when I direct connect these two loose wires.  It still does the bill stacker error, but I did notice that the other error code are now changed from MB to two separate error codes "door open B" and "closure M". I switched it back and forth and now it just stays cycling through the errors and "call attendant".

See video at:  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AYoHB5psPSlggPPQ9AUvczql1EmxSGd-/view?usp=drivesdk

I wonder if I could just disconnect that sensor altogether?  Or if I could trick the machine into thinking it was closed at all times by cutting the wires at the source and reconnecting them or something?  Man, I have a new found respect for guys who work on these things . . . what a headache.

regarding rokgpsman's questions, the ebay guy that sold it to me did "casino night events".  he said it worked, but then it quit.  he presumed that it was due to the constant moving of the machine, but said that he thought it would be a fairly easy fix if i was able to spend some time on it.  but when i opened it up and looked at it, i quickly realized that i was in over my head.  he said that he had tinkered with it some, but could never clear the error.  thanks again for your help, please let me know if you have any other suggestions.

The picture I posted is for a S+. Look at the s2000 topics to find the s2000 bypass. It is done differently. You have to have working optics or the bypass to fool the machine.  If I remember right 2 wires splice together and the other 2 go to cherry switch.

Your optics appear to at least still be mounted to the machine.  One optic is in the cabinet next to the cherry switch it should have a red and a white wire coming from it that will plug into a plug with a green and purple wire. (First two pictures)
The second optic is in the door it will have a red and a black wire coming from it it will go to a plug with a red/white stripe wire a green/blue stripe wire. See if those are still in place. It may be as simple as reconnecting and alignment of the optics.

It looks to me like someone already attempted to bypass the optics.  The cabinet optics (mounted on the cherry switch) wires have been cut off.  I couldn't see what was happening on the door side, but saw some blue tape in the area of the door optics.  Attached is a drawing that was posted here on NLG on how to bypass them correctly.  Trace those wires out and see if it matches the drawing.

Also with the power off remove and check the MPU to see if it has a green varta installed that looks like it has corroded.  It's the large metal tray on the left sidewall with the handle on it.  When the battery corrodes it can damage circuit traces and components that can cause door errors.  That may have been what led someone to attempt to bypass the optics to begin with?

It appears that someone attempted to by pass the optics.. If the cabinets wiring is still intact with the plugs for the optics, I would just buy a good set of optics and reinstall them.. The machine now has stacked error messages that need to be cleared before it will work. Without the door optics, the only other way I know to clear the error messages is to hook them up to the door switch.. The opening and closing of the door switch will work like the doors optics. This is how I have my slant top setup..
Please remember to make a donation to NLG for mine/our help in repairing your machines problem.. Your donations help keep this site on line.
And remember...
If it's jammed, force it.. If it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyways...

When I was watching your video I noticed that the coin comparitor green light is ON. I thought this light only came on when the door was closed. Does this mean your machine thinks the main door is closed even when it is open?

With the power off, please remove the coin tray, then carefully remove the MPU board along the left side of the cabinet (the metal handle on it pulls towards you -- slide it out slowly so you don't mash your knuckles as it comes out.

Can you post a clear, high resolution picture or pictures of the MPU board here in this thread?  I'm banking on a leaking green Varta battery which has corroded the traces on the board right next to the battery.  Unfortunately, those traces are for the door open switches, so when they get corroded, they tend to report that a door is open when it isn't.

The machine now has stacked error messages that need to be cleared before it will work. Without the door optics, the only other way I know to clear the error messages is to hook them up to the door switch.. The opening and closing of the door switch will work like the doors optics. This is how I have my slant top setup..

Well, that's a good point, too.  If the machine always thinks the door is closed due to the bypassing of the optics, you won't be able to open and close the door (to the machine's satisfaction) to clear out errors.
