3 reel Bally E2241-22 13 needs maintenance

This E2241-22 goes into TILT mode with code 71 on occasion.  Two reels spin freely.  Turning off then back on sometime later seems to perform a reset however the problem persists on next pull.  I don't know where reset button is nor do I have a manual to better understand how to troubleshoot, clean and maintain this machine.    Any tips greatly appreciated.

Left reel is not spinning properly, or the reader for that reel is defective. Usually oiling the moving parts fixes the problem.

Much appreciated.  I see two types of oils listed:
A.) lubriplate #1 Oil.
B) Slides and units with heavy duty loads can be lightly greased using our Hydrotex Lube #651
What is the replacement oil for those two types?


I found Marvel Mystery oil outlined by a paranthetical in the manual however it's unclear whether that is intended
to serve as a replacement for lubruplate #1 oil or Hydrotex Lub #651.

A light weight machine oil like 3 in 1 works. There was a plastic bottle with a long tube nozzle that I’ve bought called zoom spout I think. It’s a squeeze bottle. Works great for tight places and applying only a drop at a time. As for grease, just get a light weight grease. I like the blue grease used for boat trailers. Never use a spray grease, they harden.
