Color Changing LED Lamps for S2000 Buttons

I've looked around in the forums for some additional info regarding the color changing LED Button Lights, but can't seem to find a good part number or source.


I've seen plenty of videos of these lights in action and would really like a few for myself.


If anyone can help me out, please do.

There was a discussion on these, for the S plus, that might give you some help although the bulb voltages are different on the S2000.

Some of the problems I had were that the bulb simply didn't fit all the way in, even though the bulb number/type was supposedly the same.
And, they're polarity specific as well.
Read through that link. It's 6 years old so you may have to find other sources. Some of our supporting vendors may carry them, or you can of course check Amazon and Ebay.

I've seen the S+ bulbs and have actually used them.


Most of the 12 volt ones I've found on eBay and so on won't fit all of the way into the button, the diameter is too large. I was able to modify one to work, but it was a lot of trimming.


I've seen Yoeddy's videos with the color changers, so I know he figured out what works in the S2000 12v system.


I'll keep looking and experimenting until I figure out what works the best. And if I figure it out, I'll post the info.

I take a rat tail file and enlarge the hole in white actuator so the bulb fits thru it without getting hung up.

I bought a bunch off e-bay a while back.  I can't seem to find them now though.

I found a seller on eBay that advertises them, but for automotive use, not slots.


They look similar to the ones pictured in the thread by user IGT Games shared by shortrackskater.


When they finally get here from China, maybe next month, I'll update everyone on how well they work, fit and what modifications, if any, need to be done to use them.

Asian mail is slow as heck right now.....delays due to coronavirus....I had got some offa ebay a while back too....maybe 4-5years ago .... but be careful...it's important to get the right wattage...not too hot or bright....I've melted a couple of buttons getting the wrong ones at first!

I got some about 3 years back on ebay. They don't fit like the normal LED but if you put the switch in, and then install the multi-color LED from the top, and then the button top, they seemed to work. The biggest problem I had with them was that they didn't last more than a year. One or more colors would quit working. I recently went back to the plain white ones.

I agree got them to fit ok but they did not last long doing multi color. Went back to white.

I bought LEDs #168 / #194 on Aliexpress 5 years ago.

Pay attention to the polarity and cut the flange.

I found some blue LED's and modified them to look like yours, they work fine.


I shaved down the flange and ground down the top so the button wouldn't hit it.

What is the total length of the dome ones after shaving it shorter?
Most of these 194 wedgies online for sale are LED's now and are roughly 20.45mm in length.
I'm thinking of getting some?
