Looking for the power supply in the bottom left of the cabinet in working condition

Must be a very early S+. All I have are under the validator. I have never known of one to go bad. Usually a loose coin floating around, mostly bad connectors

This is the one I have that blows the 6A fuse everytime I power it up, I've found nothing inside the power supply out of the ordinary or shorting anything out, I'm just giving up on it, looking for a replacement

If the fuse continues to blow, it's probably related to a faulty component downstream of that particular voltage leg.

Before replacing the power supply, try tracing that circuit path using a schematic and look at everything associated with that fuse. You have a dead short somewhere in that circuit that's causing the fuse to blow.

Top Fuse=6A
Middle Fuse=8A
Bottom Fuse=6A

Which one is it? Top or bottom one?

Makes a big difference which way to start looking....

I've already replaced the power supply (pulled it from another S Plus I had) and that machine works just fine now. I need a power supply to go back in my other S Plus machine I rubbed

Send it to me, I probably could repair it if it is something other than the transformer! either way, they are on ebay from 65.00 plus shipping.

these are heavy, probably would't fit in a flat rate box, so shipping costs are a concern.

maybe a broken fuse holder??

I may be better off doing that Jim. Here are some pictures of the one that's blowing the fuse, I don't see anything out of the ordinary but I'm far from being an expert.

In picture 1, check the bottom plug on the side, looks as if the red wire is shorted to the black wire, (burn mark on the red wire) that's what it looks like to me??

I'm not seeing the red wire that looks like it's shorted to a black wire, my eyesight is terrible, maybe someone knows how to draw a circle where it is, I'm not sure how to edit pictures from a cell phone like that myself

When the power supply is in the machine there are two connectors that stick out the left side. What Jim is wanting you to look at is the bottom one ... but inside the unit at the bottom connector.
