Game King help requested version?

Hi All,

like many other posts I have seen, I have just purchased my first Game King. I have seen lots of posts about board numbers or GK numbers, etc, but I really have no idea where to find this stuff or what my options are with this thing. Everything seems to work good, I would like to add some more games if possible like caveman keno and the ABC keno and maybe even more slots like Lion Fish. I have no idea if this is even a real option with this model/version. Can you all offer me a bit of help in determining what I got so I can find out if anything can be added?

I am sorry, but I do not know what a key set is.


My history of slots is I also own an old Bally’s Money Honey. This is much different.

It's Game King 4.0.  You can enable 12 games per denomination and you need Key 17 to change some features.  You version has the following games available:

My advice that I can't stress enough: always make some kind of input on the screen within 60 seconds, otherwise you have to start all over, and it's extremely annoying if you have to!!!

No, that is Key 31 used for S2000 spinning reel slots.  You need Key 17.

Send RS a message to buy a Key 22 chip—that one works better in certain situations.

I had a Key 17 chip and eventually needed a 22.

Key 22 doesn't always work with older game software.  The PSR for his chipset calls for Key 17.

Well that's cool. I'd put all of the Keno games on one denomination, and all the slot games on a different denomination, and all the poker games on another 1 or 2 denominations. That way all the games would be grouped on the same screen with other similar games. If there were less than 12 games on the screen for a particular denomination then pick other games to fill out the screen. But get all games in the software enabled and displaying on at least one of the denomination game menu screens. Maybe put my 12 favorite games on the $1 denomination, use the other denominations for the grouping mentioned earlier.

That is a good idea to check with RB, he will make sure you get the correct key chip for your machine. Be sure to tell him what machine you have.

Yes, that's the right one.  Key 17 was also used for some early S2000 spinning reel slots.  RB should be able to fix you up.

RB did contact me, he confirmed the 17 is prob the correct one, but the 22 may be more user friendly and offer more options. I just bought both. I’ll be hitting that dinosaur with a bone and cracking those little Dino  eggs in no time!
