New to me Bally Blazing 7s

I recently acquired a Bally S5500 Blazing 7s slot machine.  It would not boot when I first got it and after touching up solder joints on all board connectors and reseating all socketed chips, I was able to get it to boot up consistently.  Now, my question is, how would I determine what the payout percentage is? And, how would I change it if I choose? I can post photos of the machine if needed.

I think to find out the game's payout percentage you'd need to look at the game chips on the mpu board and get what Bally calls the SMI number. With that SMI number someone may have a list showing details for that SMI, including the payout percentage. To change the percentage you will likely have to change the software chips. We'll see what others have to say, I'm not overly familiar with the Bally S5500.

yes ,only way to change percentage is to get other chips that pay higher or lower, depends on what you want,
