s6000 strange poblems
« on: October 30, 2018, 02:11:33 PM »
I have an s6000 I sold to a customer, ocassionally it would loose communication to the bonus board in the head and the ball would keep spinning, i would run over there reseat the rom on the bonus board and it would complete its bonus and be ok .........last time i ws there i replaced the board and it was ok for a while........now this last time it did it he got the idea to do it himself and put the rom in backwards.... big oooops.......i went up with a new rom and still doing same, thing except it has a new issue, now when doing its initializing reel 1 never stops, to eliminate optics on reel 1 i swapped 1 and 2 does the same thing so its pointing to the main board, is anyone familair with the s6000 boards as far as where the I/O comes into them and where its generated from.     i did try a hard clear thinking it was corrupt but after its still doing the same thing, gives the error tone for no comm to up top and reel 1 keeps spinning through initialization, another thing i noticed after the hard clear was spin and bet max buttons should change parameters in the 11d set up, now buttons service and bet1 change them leading me to corrupt digestion of I/O...... any input is greatly appeciated......i did check all the socketed chips i could 244s,273s and all check good

im about out of ideas and info here

thanks
