I picked up 2 games today an aristocrat wild game and a perfect 7. Both are showing a system error msg. I've had igt s plus machines before where at least it gave me a code so I knew what to fix. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

Post pictures of your machine.
Front on , door open and MPU door open.
Each picture must be under 1 meg. in file size.

The game looks like it has a CDS conversion system installed.
In the second picture there looks like a slot for a simm card that is missing.
If you can remove that board and send me the picture Iâ€™ll post it and we can see if anyone can help.

Which version did it end up being? I'm finding itit hard to find a lot of info. It's not like pinball machines where there is tons of documentation. I do have a rom burner I can dust off if need be. Hope you got the other photos.

The MK machines are video slots.
Maybe someone with experience with

I'm pretty sure these are both out of foxwoods casino in CT after use. I would not think they were ever out of country.

Aristocrat VIG520 reel slot, definitely an American machine. The only thing these have in common with MK6 machines is the fact that some of the more basic MK6 titles (e.g. Geisha, Tiki Torch, Sun & Moon) were ported to them.

Good to know. Maybe that will help me find more info. Any idea how to reset it or why it would say system error? I've seen several style of this board on eBay. Mine is rev c and all those are rev D. I've also noticed that most of those have 4 ROMs where mine has 2 and tape over that area. Are the ones I have like home ROMs? Would clearing ram fix the system error or is there a way to check the problem in settings? I can get to the settings with the jackpot key. Thanks for your replies and all the help so far. I will be out of town for a week at Disney but look forward to getting these going when I return. I'll try to get some research in while I'm out of town.

Yours looks like it is missing the game software, the game chips should have a 7 digit part number like 0130000 and the name itself. The other 2 chips are probably just the base (e.g. BIOS) chips which is enough to just power it on and show any errors (such as missing game EPROMs).

I would think that the open simm slot is the cause!
If I remember right donâ€™t CDS games require a birthing chip to reset?

The vig520 boards on eBay are marked â€œAristocratâ€ and
may be incompatible with your CDS back plane.

I am down to do whatever it takes to get them working. The guy states that they worked for a number of years and he never messed with the boards except to change the battery. But that is a story I've heard before with pinball machines. Lol

That might be a problem as Iâ€™ve been looking and
havenâ€™t been able to find anything on the Aristocrat
VIG520 slot machine.
