IGT Run For Your Money Bonus game LCD

Hoping you guys can help me with an issue i'm having with my LCD bonus screen.


I bought this machine on the 17th and all was working except the sound from the bonus function and the bill validator, while attempting to get the bill validator up and running I attempted to re-seat the unit when a comm failure came up on the bonus screen and then went to the white back-light image. I've tried searching for info and even spoke with Samm from a forum on Facebook, while Samm certainly knows his stuff we couldn't figure out the specific issue with this unit. I have tirelessly gone over all of the connections, replaced batteries and dusted out the mother board to the LCD panel. I'm hoping someone here can help figure this out or possibly have a replacement unit. Thanks for your help in advance, it is much appreciated. Hey guys let me help clarify,




So his lcd was working in his s2000 it’s not a reel touch, the screen is much smaller, we went over connections and all seems to be there correct, I’m venturing to say the screen just happened to blow a cap while he was working on it and it was just bad timing. He changed out the vram and reseated the memory, the game boots complete and functions, just no lcd.

Is it possible that you're referring to a vision machine? If that's the case and the monitor is not displaying then more than likely it is the inverter for the screen. Yes, my apologies this is a Vision machine. Now I do get the back light, I read somewhere that the inverter is bad when the screen is black with no back light, is this the case? Thanks for the reply Tollguy!

I found some places where they sell replacement 10.4" Sharp 10.4" LQ10D421 LQ10D42 LCD screens by searching on various websites such as ebay and amazon.

Punch that in and you'll see some for around $30-40.
You just have to make sure the ribbon cable comes out the same spot as the ones in the Vision top box computer.

Run a sound test....press test button for a couple of seconds and you use the buttons to move cursor on the LCD screen.

Might need a different harness sometimes
