Need Pin out for MK6 Audit switch
« on: December 31, 2019, 08:04:06 PM »
Since I haven't been able to find a 5101 Audit key for my MK6, I'm going to replace the keyswitch but I need to see how the the switch works within the circuit.

It's got 4 pins with wires White-red-black-blue. I suspect it's a DPST switch but I don't know if both sides make a circuit at the same time, or alternately.

Anyone got an idea?

This is a switch and key that may be what you need.
If the key doesn't work for your lock, then you can rewire the switch to work with the included key in your machine.

Hi Paul,

Looks like that might fit the bill.

Thanks.

I'm not familiar with the MK6, but this is what I got for my MK7: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/612-KO114A10001- only difference is key can be removed from all 3 positions, but it works. It is the same pinout as the one that came with machine (1&3 for Meter, 2&4 for Audit).  I had to pull old switch apart for pinout, the base/bottom actually came out pretty easy.  Hope that helps!

Whoohoo!!! Bought two switches with keys. Turned out both keys were 5101's and worked fine without replacing the switches. So I was able to get in there and first turn the @$5$@@$!!! volume down. It was at max, and was driving me nuts :)  I was also able to raise the amount of $$ I could add to it (it was set to $40 max), and a few other settings.

I was disappointed that I couldn't change the payout percentage. One machine was 91%, and the other 87 (the lowest). I would like to get both to 96%, as my wife likes to win more.

Thanks to everyone for their help! I appreciate it!  :thank_you:

 :congrats:

To change the % you'll have to clear and reset the machine.

Hah, thanks Paul. I'm looking at doing that. I just just have to make sure I've got all settings documented :)

Thanks Paul,

I'm currently looking at either an SPC 2.0 or SPC 2.5 board on Ebay. I just need the board & harness. I'll then document all the settings as it stands now, and do the memory clear. Hopefully once all that goes well, I'll be able to start experimenting with TITO :)

Now that I'm mostly retired, I've got the time.
