S2000 meter disconnected

Hi guys i have read alot of previous post about this but cant seem to get past this error message. Heres the info about the machine i recieved machine in non working order with no past history. when i booted it up the 9 line payline display was not lighting up and a ram error message was on vfd, after clearing message with turning key and mpu reset button i get the meter disconnected message and shows a 1 in credits played display and on the #1 payline
 So far i have tried:
swapping all 3 i/o cards
replacing the payline,vfd,and 7 segment display
swapped 1270 enhanced mpu
Checked all wiring including unplugging and plugging back in all connections to mpu, i/o, backplane,power suplly, and more
Open and shut door several times to try and clear
Verified door optics are working
And cleared with a 97 chip all with no luck
 I am out of ideas and appreciate any help i can get to fix it, i have read also that mpu chips may be bad so i will be posting a wtb add for replacment chips to try out if anyone has any please let me know

Are there meters in the machine? If they have been removed the plug where they were will require a jumper.

Hi rich, yes this machine has had the meters removed and jumper installed it seems to be fine has continuity between 9 and 10 pin

Hi guys just an update i found the problem and maybe it can help someone else out, it was the bill validator i swapped with one from another machine and was able to clear the meter disconnected error by opening and shutting door a few times.
