Thanks Gary. I just rebuilt this chassis and it was working beautifully until the flyback started acting up. I'm trying to save the work I put into it by hopefully finding a flyback for it. There are plenty in Europe but for $150 plus shipping,  I'd get a replacement chassis. If I go that route,  I'll let you know.

Well I’m here if you need anything. I have some used flyback and even a couple brand new in the box flybacks. See what Jim has for you first.

Question.. What did you do to the chassis to repair it. Did you just do a cap kit? What is the serial number of your chassis? Reason I’m asking is that I know of a few other components that go bad. You said the flyback started acting up.. What’s happening? Just trying to trouble shoot your chassis.

The chassis is a 1492-H Ser# 0245943. The board has been recapped,  replaced the neck board transistor, and the horizontal IC. Convergence was also adjusted. First notice of the screen acting up was when the top was tapped hard or bumped and the screen would flicker(this is a bar top). It quickly began to show thin white horizontal lines. Found that by lightly tapping the lead from the flyback to the neckboard would bring the picture back. Only taping this lead where it enters the flyback causes change. Spraying cool air across different components did nothing.  Even wiggling the flyback causes no change.

Forgot to mention that I also installed some jumpers where each of the 3 color video boards had broken and lifted pads.

Yea that’s common. Did you check the solder joints on the neck board. That plug for the CRT I find them cracked a lot.

On the neckboard everything was good except for G3 pin. That was cracked and re-flowed.
