Aristocrat Viridian WS - SetChip Issue

Hello NLG Guru's


Having issues with Aristocrat Veridian WS. Machines are all operational but after a SetChip has been applied and all settings done and machine is rebooted it will get stuck in the boot sequence.
It gets stuck at the point where it says starting Zytronic touchscreen driver.


Getting same issue across different machines.


Any advice appreciated.

What video card are in the machines with the issue?

Hello Rickhunter


GT430 Video cards.
Feedback from site now is that some machines are working after setchip procedure performed although there are at least 4 that wont boot.
All machines were working before setchip applied.

Won't boot is not enough to determine what could be wrong.  It is important to know the exact spot and what any other error messages there  might be.  The GT430 is compatible with all versions of the widescreen bios.  Usually when a machine fails to boot is due to software drivers not available for the video card involved, incorrect setchip parameters or bios/game incompatibility.  All those issues can prevent the machine from booting.

I would try using a video card from a machine that works and trying to boot that machine.  There are known issues with GT430's failing due to overheating.  The machine is supposed to blank out and switch to a video mode, shortly after the loading nvidia driver happens.  My guess is that is it is hanging up as it tries to do that.  You also cannot just use ANY GT430 card, it has to contain the Aristrocrat compatible bios.
