Hello,
I recently purchased an aristocrat fortune hunter machine from 1994. I am trying to get it into play mode, but after resetting the meters and making sure they are the same, the game will not boot into play mode no matter how many times power is cycled. I just replaced the battery on the board. I can cycle through the metering screens but thats it.
Another strange thing.. If I turn the power on and leave the door open the screen gets all jumbled and does not respond when the door is closed. The open door error 60 shows.
I have already tried using the jackpot reset key while on meter one and that doesn't work.
Here is a link to a video I made showing what I mean. https://youtu.be/mA28iwKmEJ4
I would really appreciate it if y'all have any ideas how to fix this. Thanks!!

Hello Paul,
Thank you for the quick response. I've already tried that procedure several times and it will not get me out of the metering screen.
It also just popped up with an error 34 - coin validator fault. I have no idea why this would turn on but now it is preventing me from doing anything. Would you have any idea how to remedy this? It almost looks like there isn't even a coin comparator in the darn thing.

Thanks,
Bridger

Post pictures of your machine, Inside of door, CPU area, hopper.
The more info the easier it is for us to help.
Slide the CPU tray out and take a good clear picture of it.
There may be a jumper missing or one on the wrong spot.
The error code 34 is unknown to me and every
manual I've seen has the trouble shooting section missing.
We have many members here and someone will chime in with more info.

I was able to get the comparator error to go away somehow, but now I am back stuck on the metering menu and cannot figure out how to get out of it. Here are some pictures for reference. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/16IGtxgH1R9JAgsZzgR1yE4dE-cse4jnP?usp=sharing

Im getting a really weird graphical glitch that happens when I turn the game on with the door open as well. I showed an example in the video from earlier. Does anyone know how to remedy this?
