There are two payouts of 150 and one payout of 100.  The 150's both payout correctly, the 100 only pays a single coin.

Shoulda like you need to locate the 100 coin payout trace on the hoppers wipe board and see what that wiper fingers doing?

It looked correct, but this machine has been sitting for 10 years in a basement so there may be some point not making contact.  That's why I was thinking about cleaning the wiperboards first.  All of the other payouts, including the smaller ones, pay correctly.

Regarding the incorrect payout. Check the contacts on the payout step up unit pertaining to the particular payout in question. If the contacts and or receiver strips are dirty it could cause a short payout.

yes had similar issue on mine but it was for the 150 payout,I would reset hopper to zero and manually step the hopper 100 clicks and make sure the 100 payout finger is hitting the payout strip correctly. I would reinstall the hopper at the 100 setting to see if it pays correctly. Please check that finger has some tension on the board and is getting consistent contact during payout

The wipe board had some grease on it, cleaned it and all of the payouts are now working properly!   Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Now onto the JP bell....  It appears that the bell itself isn't working.  I see 6v at the bell on a JP so the correct power is being delivered at the right time.  I see several burn marks on the bell.  While there is an adjustment screw it appears that there are bigger issues.  Are replacement bells readily available?  Any recommended actions before I replace the bell?  Bell sources?

Good  Job!  love the easy finds and fixes on these EMs. If its dead you might be able to replace the coil but I"am not sure if that's the fix. Did you check the contacts on the payout relay?

Contact KLar on the home page under Sponsors at the top of the page. Contact them for a EM jackpot bell. I know they don’t have any listed as of yesterday under parts. But it doesn’t mean they don’t have any.

Thanks!  K-LAR does have one.   Problem resolved.

I was messaging Alan at KLar and he informed me he would have it posted soon. Below is what he said. Are you sure you order the correct bell?

“I should have the 6VAC Bally EM case bell on the site soon..”

The current bell is an Edwards 55 and the voltage going to it is 6V. The schematic shows it as "6v Jackpot Bell".   I was able to get the existing bell to work using a 6V battery and even in the machine but it is in very poor condition so I want to replace it.  Thanks for following up with Alan, he was very responsive and helpful.

Okay great, you talked to him directly. I myself just received a parts order from them today. Now tomorrow I can get back to rebuilding my reels assembly for my Monte Carlo.
