Easiest way I’ve found is to email the pics to your self. My I Phone ask me what size I want my pics mailed. Your limited to 1000mb here. Either that or crop your pictures down.

Is there a black and silver serial tag on the right side? If so the date may be stamped in the upper black part. Some times it's hard to see without a light. It would include a model number too.

The total size of the pic must not be larger then 1000mb. I don’t think the format matters.

 It's somewhat a Bally. However, it's a Summit conversion.

If there is no serial tag on the side of the game then a date is a guess. Probably mid 80's. Summit used to take Bally games and do an electronic conversion to them. There is a company in California who deals with Summit parts. Their link is below.

There are a few people on this board who have some experience with them too. I believe Klar is one of them. The first thing you need to do (if have not already) is check the battery voltage on  board with the yellow tabs.

Ok yea i have batterys.it looks like its been replaced before.everything seems to be in tact other then the wheels only lock when i reset game.not at end of spin.even roll back abit.and the hopper seems to be missing the arm that goes into bucket and assembly on back side that tells the machine how full the bucket is.i dont know what to call it or how to get one.or fix the machine to lock after spin.also the tape is faded.i found tape on ebay that mached but it was to skinny of tape# wrong size.i saw the pdf manual for download on summit stuff online.i guess ill try that.but paper book would be better.lol

  • Just a curious observer...
What i need is to know what yr and model to be able to get parts ect so i can fix it my self. is summit a company i can contact for info?

Summit was a company that would take a Bally EM slot machine and modify it by adding some electronic circuit boards to operate the machine. This update was an attempt by Summit to modernize the older Bally machine to lengthen it's life and popularity in casinos. As far as I know the Summit Slot Machine Company is no longer in business, but there is a company (HMS Electronics in California) that tries to help owners of these machines that need parts, their website was mentioned earlier and here is their troubleshooting help webpage with lots of information:

http://www.hms-electronics.com/slot_machines/summit_systems_support.htm

On NLG the Summit machines are discussed in board area #87. In there you can read about other people's Summit machines and maybe gain so helpful information. Just look down the discussion titles for "Summit":

http://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?board=87.0

And since this is a "hybrid" machine, it was originally a Bally EM, then for a lot of the machine's parts (hopper, cabinet parts, lights, pushbuttons, etc) the Bally EM discussion area might have useful information.

I my self stay away from Summit machines. Only one place works on them and that Summit. I’ve heard that the game chips go bad and need to be replaced. There was a thread within the past year of someone having there’s fixed. Your reel strips look all faded, might be dang near impossible to find replacement other then having a set made. Best thing I can see and say about that game is it’s belly Glass is cool. Any time I receive one I gut it for parts that will still work on ma Bally like chrome. The rest is scrapped or traded.

There is a chance you might get lucky with the reel strips. If they are the same as say a Bally 1090. You may need to peel the seam back to see if there is a part number on them. But, there is a chance you could damage them while doing that.
